NORCROSS, Ga. — NAC International Inc. (NAC) announced today that it has been awarded a contract by CH2M HILL B&W West Valley, LLC for the supply of transportable NAC-MPC dry storage systems for high level waste for the West Valley Demonstration Project located in West Valley, New York. CH2M HILL B&W West Valley is the U.S. Department of Energy’s prime contractor performing the West Valley Demonstration Project Phase I Decommissioning Project. The scope of the agreement includes design, engineering, licensing and fabrication of NAC-MPC storage units, which will provide safe and secure transportable storage for 275 high level waste canisters and other materials that must be relocated from current facilities in order to permit the project to proceed on schedule.

NORCROSS, Georgia.– NAC International Inc. (NAC) will supply its MAGNASTOR spent fuel storage system to Taiwan Power Company’s (TPC) Kuosheng Nuclear Power Station. The agreement calls for a complete dry storage project solution with 27 MAGNASTOR systems and includes engineering, licensing, hardware, ISFSI design and construction, and fuel loading operations.

NORCROSS, Ga. — NAC International (NAC) announced today that it has entered into a contract with ZionSolutions, LLC to supply 65 MAGNASTOR dry spent fuel storage systems. These systems will store the spent fuel from the shutdown two-unit Zion Nuclear Power Station facility in Zion, Illinois, allowing the final decommissioning of the Zion Station and eventual restoration of the site.

Norcross, Georgia — NAC International (NAC) announced today a new order from Arizona Public Service Company, operating agent of the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS), for twenty (20) UMS multipurpose dry spent fuel storage systems. This order will provide additional UMS spent fuel storage capacity at PVNGS while the plant transitions to the use of NAC’s latest dry storage technology, the MAGNASTOR® System. The new order will make PVNGS the first operating nuclear plant to utilize more than 100 UMS systems.

Norcross, Ga. — NAC International (NAC) today announced that Juan C. Subiry has been promoted to vice president, marketing and business development, replacing Charles W. Pennington, who has held the position for the last eight years. Subiry has been at NAC since 1998 and has served the last four years as director of technical sales and marketing. His prior NAC experience includes senior roles in both the consulting business unit and in marketing and business development. Earlier, Subiry worked at a large nuclear utility, serving in several reactor engineering and fuel supply positions of increasing responsibility.

The order includes at least 24 MAGNASTOR systems for use by a utility that has committed to dry cask storage of spent fuel and has a number of earlier system designs already deployed at its nuclear plants.

Norcross, Georgia—Dairyland Power Cooperative (DPC) has awarded NAC International a contract for the design, licensing, and supply of dry spent fuel storage systems. These dry spent fuel storage systems will be used to store the spent fuel at DPC’s shutdown La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor facility in Genoa, Wisconsin.

Norcross, Georgia —NAC announced today that it will withdraw and resubmit its application before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for spent nuclear fuel dry storage certification of its Modular, Advanced Generation, Nuclear All-purpose Storage (MAGNASTOR®) System. NAC will resubmit the application soon with additional material in a few areas that were identified by the NRC as lacking sufficient detail to complete its review. Resubmitting the MAGNASTOR application is a procedural step required by NRC rules in order for the NRC staff to resume review of the technology.
