March 26, 2021
It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of one of the members of our senior management team, Jamie Adam.  Jamie passed away peacefully on the evening of Friday, March 19, 2021 due to COVID-19 related complications in Tucson, Arizona.   He had been a valued member of our team since 2004 when he started at NAC as our Director, Projects.  In 2005, Jamie assumed the position of Director, Site and Transportation Services, which later progressed to a Senior Vice President role, where he led the team for over fifteen years.  In 2020, Jamie stepped back from his Senior Vice President, Site and Transportation Services role in anticipation of his retirement this year.  Jamie left us too early and his big personality will be greatly missed not only at NAC but across the nuclear industry worldwide.  Jamie made many remarkable contributions and he was recently recognized in the DOE’s Secretary of Energy Achievement Award for his involvement and leadership with a multi-year effort to transport highly enriched uranium spent used fuel from National Research Universal and National Research Experimental reactors at Chalk River Laboratories in Ontario, Canada to DOE’s Savannah River Site in the United States.  Please keep Jamie’s family in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time.
