Transportation Projects
NAC International successfully completed a challenging, multi-agency nuclear materials packaging project in North Korea under the historic U.S.-North Korea Agreed Framework.
After conversion of the Texas A&M University research reactor to Low Enriched Uranium (LEU) fuel, NAC International provided one NAC-LWT cask for the transport of 84 irradiated High Enriched Uranium (HEU) TRIGA type fuel assemblies to the Idaho National Laboratory (INL).
Under the Foreign Research Reactor program, NAC International is the U.S. Department of Energy contractor for spent nuclear fuel packaging and transportation services for Other Than High Income countries.
NAC was contracted by Westinghouse Electric to provide comprehensive services to transport irradiated fuel from Exelon’s Braidwood nuclear power plant in Illinois to the Studsvik hot cell in Sweden for post-irradiation examination.
