Norcross, Ga. — NAC International (NAC) today announced that Juan C. Subiry has been promoted to vice president, marketing and business development, replacing Charles W. Pennington, who has held the position for the last eight years. Subiry has been at NAC since 1998 and has served the last four years as director of technical sales and marketing. His prior NAC experience includes senior roles in both the consulting business unit and in marketing and business development. Earlier, Subiry worked at a large nuclear utility, serving in several reactor engineering and fuel supply positions of increasing responsibility.

“Juan has been a key player in NAC’s marketing and sales activities over a number of years, and his transition to this new role is the natural progression for a person of his experience, skill set, and motivation,” said Kent Cole, NAC’s president. “Juan will help NAC expand the reach of our new transportable dry storage technology, the MAGNASTOR® System, to a broader domestic market, as well as to more international markets. He will also continue to support NAC’s sales efforts for Federal services and fuel cycle consulting.”

“We are most pleased to have a succession plan where we are able to supplement and replace Charlie’s experience with the background that Juan brings, which, importantly, has been substantially developed in-house,” Cole added,

Pennington has served at NAC since 1996 in senior positions, including senior vice president of consulting, senior vice president of engineering and product development, and vice president of marketing and business development. He will now assume a senior advisory capacity within NAC as he phases back his activities in anticipation of retirement.

“Charlie will still be involved with NAC and its business units on a day-to-day basis as we move forward,” said Cole. “We would anticipate that he will continue to spend much of his time on NAC’s sales and marketing activities.”
