Vice President, Quality Assurance

Joyce Hamman is Vice President of Quality Assurance and is responsible for all aspects of the NAC’s Quality Assurance program for design, procurement, licensing, testing, fabrication, operations and maintenance of NAC storage and transportation cask systems components. In this role, she defines company quality policy and maintains compliance with applicable codes, standards and regulatory requirements.

Ms. Hamman has an extensive Quality background, with 33 years of nuclear industry experience, including work at commercial nuclear power reactors, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and a nuclear equipment provider. She has been responsible for 10CFR50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, ASME N and NPT, and National Board NR and VR  quality program, procedure and policy development; non-conformance, and corrective action identification and resolution; vendor surveillance, assessments, audits, examination and testing; and field service activities related to the fabrication, construction and maintenance of nuclear power plant components. As a U.S. NRC Inspector based in the Atlanta office, she performed inspections of component design bases and modifications for commercial nuclear power reactors, and also served as a Resident NRC Inspector for the Oconee Nuclear Station. Her experience also includes responsibility for development, implementation and maintenance of company Environmental Health and Safety programs.

Ms. Hamman has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
