Michael McMahon, Ph.D.

Chief Strategy Officer

Dr. Michael McMahon is NAC International’s Chief Strategy Officer. In this role, Dr. McMahon leads the development of business strategies, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions to drive NAC's growth and profitability. He serves concurrently as Chairman of the Board of Managers of NAC Philotechnics, Ltd., a subsidiary of NAC International Inc. that is a leading provider of nuclear materials packaging and transportation solutions, health physics, radiological services, and waste management headquartered in Oak Ridge, TN.                    

Dr. McMahon joined NAC International from EXCEL Services Corporation, where he served as Senior Vice President of Business Development. Prior to joining EXCEL, he worked at AREVA for more than 17 years including as President and CEO of Transnuclear Inc. (now Orano TN USA) in the U.S. and in France as the U.S. director of international projects for AREVA’s Back End Business Group, which includes the group’s used fuel management, recycling, transportation and decommissioning activities. Before joining AREVA, he worked as an Associate for the management consulting firm McKinsey & Company and served on nuclear submarines as an officer in the U.S. Navy.

Dr. McMahon is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering. He also received a doctorate in nuclear engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
