Michael McMahon, Ph.D.

Vice President, Transportation and Strategic Projects

Dr. Michael McMahon is NAC International’s Vice President of Transportation and Strategic Projects, heading the company’s Transportation Projects business unit. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Managers of NAC LPT LLC, a new subsidiary of NAC International Inc. that is a leading provider of nuclear materials packaging and transportation solutions to the nuclear industry.

Dr. McMahon joined NAC International from EXCEL Services Corporation, where he served as Senior Vice President of Business Development. Prior to joining EXCEL, he worked at AREVA for more than 17 years including as President and CEO of Transnuclear Inc. (now Orano TN) in the U.S. and in France as . the U.S. director of international projects for AREVA’s Back End Business Group, which includes the group’s used fuel management, recycling, transportation and decommissioning activities. Before joining AREVA, he worked as an Associate for the management consulting firm McKinsey & Company and served on nuclear submarines as an officer in the U.S. Navy’s Nuclear Propulsion Program.

Dr. McMahon is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering. He also received a doctorate in nuclear engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
